Today I listened to the Old 97’s Timebomb a few too many times. I’ve made up my mind: The Usual Things need to write some more up-tempo tracks. They’re coming. I promise!

Thanks for sticking in there. We’ve found a bassist. His name is Shane. We’ve been writing and rehearsing for some spring shows. It was -14 this morning. Woof. Spring never seems to come quickly enough.

We’re mastering our debut record on Monday. I’ve got it sequenced. Just a few transitional things needed be done, but it’s mostly done here. Bruce at Magneto mastering will be handling the rest of the dirty work. I would like to release the new record by the fall. But don’t hold me to that.

I’m really sorry it’s taken so long. We’ve already written the second album. I’ll try not to get ahead of myself here.
